Our Simple Summer Bucket List

Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend ❤❤ So this week is the first week of the summer holidays… We spent a bit of time this weekend thinking of what we wanted to do over the summer, I’m all about the simple things over loads of expensive, busy days out, and food naturally always plays a big part in our plans 😂 So here is our simple summer bucket list…⁣
We want to:⁣
— Go berry picking⁣
— Go wild swimming / for a splash in a stream⁣
— Eat chips at the seaside ⁣
— Go on a family bike ride ⁣
— Make ice cream sundaes (with oodles of toppings)⁣
— Have a pizza dinner in the park⁣
— Visit a splash park ⁣
— Camp in the garden⁣
— Make homemade lemonade⁣
— Shop for a few things for our local food bank (school holidays are tough on struggling families)⁣

I would absolutely love to hear what you guys have planned or tag me if you put a #simplesummerbucketlist together yourself! L x ⁣

Flower Petal Mandalas

Inspired by my lovely friend @mossy_oak_woods to make mandalas with petals now our tulips have finished – such a lovely, calming, no waste / mess art activity ❤
The days feel so long now, we are generally up around 6am with the kids, so by about 8pm after sunny days outside we hardly have the energy to get everyone to bed, then I can barely form a cohesive sentence after that 😂 Got that sun kissed, freckly nosed, body aching, summer exhaustion feeling tonight! A Seasonal Shelf: Spring

Its Spring on my shelves ❤ I love to keep a little seasonal area in the house, I try to keep just a few thrifted / collected treasures and a few books for each season and I store it all in a basket on another shelf to be swapped as the seasons change. It just needs a few tulips from the garden now as I’ve noticed the first few begin to open today.

I used to worry a bit that always moving things around at home or in my bedroom as a kid was some weird discontentment thing (I’ve done it ever since I can remember!) 😂 but I feel now like its more of a creative outlet… Pottering, messing, re-arranging, homemaking – it brings me real joy, its almost meditative ❤

Anyone else an eternal re-arranger / faffer? L x
